“Using my imagery and Seth Neary’s designs, the concept to create custom boards became a reality…the result was a limited run of home town heroes hand crafted by thunder and team at Craig's Prototype Facility in burlington. They came out Sick!!!
We incorporated these limited boards into our spring 2022 Book Tour and had live auctions at our three stops (New York, Boston, Burlington). we were able to raise almost $25,000 for chill.
Well, that was a hell of a lot of fun.
We couldn't be more pleased with the turnout, energy levels, and love shared at our first three events. If you attended, thank you! If you missed 'em, make sure you do not make that mistake again. With Covid restrictions lifting, we ventured to our first stop in New York City to kick things off. The Burton crew had the event venue prepped with cold beer from Fat Tire, and tasty water from Liquid Death. So many friends, riders, and family joined us in New York. Chris Noyes, Jim Kelly, Jon Kramer, Dave Spruill and many more swooped in with huge smiles and hugs all around.
Next stop was Boston on a ridiculously warm day on Newbury Street. DJ Stevie was on the ones and two's, the Fat Tire and Liquid Death was iced down, and the celebration started at 6:00 and rolled well past 9:00. The riders poured in to say hello, check it all out, and sign some books. Lane Knaack, Ryan Mrachek, and even cover boy Andrew Mutty was in the house with his crew. Throughout the night the snowboarding storytelling was constant, the stoke level was high, and the community vibe was powerful.
The final leg of our three day tour brought us north to Burlington, VT. Many folks were amped up and ready. Several had come into Vermont early to ride Bolton Valley and Stowe on Friday and Saturday. Burton Headquarters was the location and it was soon filled up with folks from all over the country. Jeff Brushie flew in from California to attend the night with a deep VTSP squad. Ross Powers and his entire family came. Hobie Chittenden, Jason Evans, Blair Rusin, Randy Gaetano, Scott Lenhardt, Zach Diamond, Mike Montanaro, and dozens more who are featured in the book - all came for the celebration. So many good times were packed into our three events, it is impossible to summarize the reunions, happiness, and love that was shared. As we have stated before, we are just getting started! Stay tuned for more updates on our website and instagram.
our grand total going directly to CHILL is $24,800.00!
Thank you Burton, Fat Tire, Liquid Death, Snowboarding, and everyone who showed up!

Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum’s presents “The Golden Era of East Coast Snowboarding: A Love Letter from Gary Land” as part of its Red Bench series Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m.
The award-winning photographer will share his latest work, “East Street Archives,” a photographic journey and personal love letter to snowboarding. In spring 2020 Land began sifting through his archived 35mm slides of 1990s snowboarding images. This resulted in a 437-page book dedicated to the riders of snowboarding’s golden era.
