Trevor Graves Limited Edition 17"x22" Photo Rag Matte Print
This Trevor Graves iconic photograph of Scott Clum was taken back in October 1985 in Upstate New York. Trevor and Scott met at college in Utica, New York where they quickly became fast friends through their passion for skateboarding and creating art. Snowboarding was new, and Scott was all about finding places to shred. He had scouted this natural quarter pipe at a nearby farm, close to their school, and was waiting for the right time to session it. Scott was an early Sims Team rider. The board in this photo was a team issued 1500 FE with a P-Tex base, metal edges, and a center skeg. In this image Scott was wearing a wetsuit, windbreaker, and basic Sorels.
Trevor recently visited us at the ESA headquarters and shared the story of how this image was captured. Trevor said that he used his trusty Minolta X-70 35mm camera and a roll of Kodak TRI-X 400 black and white film.
A Frontside Air immortalized in time. Ahead of its time. Thank you Trevor and Scott!
